This position has now been filled. If you are interested in a role within Reckless, please send over your CV to

The time has come for an experienced SEO Manager to join the Digital Marketing team here at Reckless. We have an exciting client portfolio that we’re very proud of and this role will involve collaborating with all departments, to create the most effective strategies for our clients.

We’re a close team at Reckless, with a great mix of personalities. We respect each other and the skills that each person brings to our agency, whether you’re a content writer, a developer or a project manager. It makes working together lots of fun and means that we produce awesome work for our clients.

Let’s Talk About Our Values

Don’t worry, we’re not going to list the same old buzzwords. That’s not us. At Reckless, it’s actually very simple. We value a human approach and it shows in everything we do. You can see it in the way we speak to each other, share ideas and give feedback.

It’s there in every client interaction, from meetings to phone calls. It’s how we build business relationships that last.

We put people in the centre because creating an open and supportive environment is what enables us to grow and progress.

What We’re About

  • We’re not corporate or stuffy. We don’t run on hierarchy because everyone’s views and ideas are important. It doesn’t matter if you’re an Apprentice or a Director
  • We’re not set in our ways. As a digital agency, it’s pretty important that we’re adaptable, so it’s only right that if an approach isn’t working, we change it together
  • We don’t expect you in the office from dawn to dusk. A work-life balance is important so we’ll support you so that you can achieve it

Who You Are

You’re an enthusiastic person who lives and breathes everything SEO. You are passionate and confident about what you do and won’t hesitate when it comes to making recommendations. We’re also hoping you’ll bring your own ideas to the pod because we love to experiment!

You’ll be working as part of the Digital Marketing (DM) team, who will help you to implement your SEO strategies. The DM team are a conscientious bunch who love to share knowledge and ideas. They’ll be sure to make you feel welcome!

Other requirements include making your fair share of team brews, embracing table tennis (don’t worry we’ll teach you!) and being an all-around good person.

What We’re Looking For

Remember the exciting client portfolio we mentioned? Well, you’ll be planning and delivering the SEO strategy for our client’s multichannel campaigns. You’ll also need to define a technical SEO strategy for our clients too. We’re looking for someone who can spot new opportunities for clients, ones that offer real value.

If you’re the right SEO Manager for us, you will have 2-3 years of SEO experience and you’ll say yes to the following:

You will be a pro when it comes to using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, AHrefs, Sitebulb and Screaming Frog

You will have a solid understanding of fundamental SEO principles and best practice. SEO is a fast-changing game, so you actively keep up to date with industry developments

You’re not afraid to get your hands dirty and can conduct site audits, keyword research and competitor analysis with your eyes closed

You can monitor technical site performance and write technical proposals for new and existing clients. Of course, you’ll need to make sure the complex stuff can be understood by everyone else

You will work closely across other departments, which includes the rest of the digital marketing team, developers, designers and client services. Don’t worry, we’re a nice bunch

You won’t shy away from attending client meetings and conference calls. After all, when it comes to SEO, you’re the expert!

What We Will Give To You

Well, we’re a digital agency so it is customary to have a table tennis table, Xbox, beer fridge and a company dog. However, everyone who works here enjoys the following benefits:

  • Great pay that is reviewed annually
  • 20 days holiday (increases with years of service)
  • A total Christmas shutdown so you can spend time with your family
  • A casual dress code
  • Flexible working hours for when life happens or you want a lie-in
  • Your very own Personal Development Plan so you’re always learning
  • Individual events and training budget because you’re in charge of what you learn
  • A company pension scheme
  • Free breakfast to celebrate a new client joining Reckless
  • A weekly fruit delivery to go towards your 5 a day
  • Perkbox membership because everyone loves a discount
